How to delete your account from Facebook
Before you proceed, ensure you have access to your Facebook account and have backed up any data you wish to keep, such as photos or messages.
Steps to delete your account

Log in to your Facebook account:
- Open your web browser and go to facebook.com.
- Enter your login credentials (email/phone number and password) and click "Log In."

- Click on the downward-facing arrow in the top-right corner of the Facebook page.
- From the dropdown menu, select "Settings & Privacy" and then click on "Settings."

- In the left-hand column, click on "Your Facebook Information."

- Click on "Deactivation and Deletion" from the options available.

Choose "Delete Account":
- Select the "Delete Account" option and then click "Continue to Account Deletion."

Confirm your decision:
- Facebook will provide information on what happens when you delete your account. Review this information carefully.
- Click "Delete Account."

Enter your password:
- You will be prompted to enter your password to confirm the deletion. Enter your password and click "Continue."

Final confirmation:
- Click "Delete Account" again to finalize the process.
Notes
- Account Deletion vs. Deactivation: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you just want to take a break, consider deactivating your account instead, which is a temporary measure.
- Data Backup: Before deleting your account, you can download a copy of your Facebook data. Go to "Settings" > "Your Facebook Information" > "Download Your Information" to create a backup.
- Grace Period: Facebook provides a 30-day grace period after you initiate the deletion. If you log back into your account within this period, the deletion process will be canceled, and your account will be restored.
