How to delete your account from GitHub
Before proceeding, ensure you have backed up any repositories or data you wish to keep, as account deletion is irreversible.
Steps to delete your account

Login to your GitHub account: Go to GitHub and log in with your credentials.

Navigate to your account settings:
- Click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of any page.
- In the dropdown menu, select Settings.

Access the account deletion page:
- In the left sidebar, scroll down and click on Account.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Account settings page.

Delete your account:
- At the bottom of the page, you will see a section labeled "Delete account".
- Click the "Delete your account" button.

Confirm the deletion:
- You will be prompted to read and acknowledge the consequences of deleting your account.
- Enter your GitHub username to confirm and click the "I understand, delete this account" button.
Notes
- Irreversible Action: Deleting your GitHub account is permanent and cannot be undone. All repositories, issues, pull requests, and other data associated with your account will be permanently deleted.
- Organization Ownership: If you own any organizations, you must either transfer ownership or delete the organizations before you can delete your account.
