How to delete your account from TikTok

Before you proceed, ensure you have access to your TikTok account and any linked phone number or email address.

Steps to delete your account

1. Open the TikTok app on your mobile device and log in to your account.
2. Go to your profile by tapping the "Profile" icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. Access the settings by tapping the three horizontal lines (menu icon) at the top right corner of your profile page.
4. Navigate to "Manage account":
   • Tap on "Settings and privacy".
   • Select "Manage account".
5. Delete your account:
   • Tap on "Delete account" at the bottom of the "Manage account" page.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions:
   • TikTok will provide information about what happens when you delete your account. Read this information carefully.
   • You may be asked to verify your identity by entering a code sent to your registered email or phone number.
7. Confirm deletion:
   • After verification, you will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Tap "Delete Account" to finalize the process.

Notes

• Account Deactivation Period: After confirming the deletion, your account will be deactivated for 30 days. During this period, your account will not be visible to others, but you can still log in to reactivate it if you change your mind.
• Permanent Deletion: After 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
• Contact Support: If you encounter any issues or do not have access to your account, you can contact TikTok support through the app or via their help center at https://support.tiktok.com.
